1. Install the helper
A small local program that does the casting. Pick your OS.
On Linux or macOS, one command sets it all up:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fabriziosantidev/streaming-lan-cast/main/installer/unix/install.sh | bash
2. Add the browser extension
After installing, open the extension's options once and paste the token the helper printed (or click Paste). That pairs the extension with your helper.
How it works
- The extension finds DLNA and Google Cast devices on your network and lets you pick one.
- The helper pulls the stream and sends it to the device over your LAN.
- Everything runs on your own machine. Nothing about what you watch reaches anyone else.
